JONAS BROTHERS CONCERT TONIGHT!
June 21, 2009
Yep, there’s a Jonas Brother’s concert tonight in Dallas. Unfortunately I’m not going, but one of the girls at the pool is. It’s her first concert! How cute!
Whistle blowing phobia.

My first official day at work. And yes, I’m rocking the red swimsuit.
So let’s take a vote. Who thinks being a lifeguard is exciting?
I don’t. It isn’t. Especially the last hour, where every time I looked at the clock only like 3 minutes had passed. On the plus side, my job is like sitting at the beach and tanning, except that you can’t do anything except stare at the water. But you take what you can get right? But compared to other lifeguarding positions I’ve heard of, this one is a walk in the park, and I embrace it. The only problem? I suffer from this condition called whistle blowing phobia. Perhaps I’ll overcome it tomorrow?
And finally, let’s play guess the quote: “..you snooze you lose. Well I have snost and lost.“

Today was my first day of work. Except not, it was more training. Lifeguard training opposed to the hotel training I had last Thursday. Well perhaps I’ll really guard tomorrow?
Got my accounting test back today. Apparently the average (out of 140 points) was in the 90′s. Well isn’t that something?
I became a fan of Singapore on Facebook. That is really the premise of this post. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT.
Also, it took me a while, but now I really enjoy this song. Thanks to Emily and OTH. Do you enjoy it?
But I’m also highly enthralled by this song. And this one, which reminds me of this one, which makes me think of Wednesday Singapore nights.
And the final song. Another one that is out of character. But that’s just me, always the surprise.
EXCITEMENT 2

So I did manage to enter the water mostly without getting my head wet. I did it well enough that I passed the test. Therefore, I will start working Thursday. And Friday and Saturday and Sunday.
Excellent.
EXCITEMENT.

Yeah. So I got a job. Lifeguard at the Four Seasons Irving (aka Dallas). I’ll be out in the sun all summer. Excellent. Skin cancer here I come. But first, I need to complete my lifeguard certification class. The most difficult thing I’ve encountered is that darn stride entry. I cannot, for the life of me, keep my head above water. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT IF MY HEAD GOES UNDER?! Yes that is pretty much the biggest problem in my life.
I took an accounting test today.
My life is most definitely the epitome of exciting.
traveler

I’m no longer abroad but (for now) I wish to continue my blog, so that involved a name change. And since his blog revolves around my trip to Singapore/Southeast Asia…
Recently back from a mini trip to Houston/Austin, I’ll continue sharing some traveling experiences. Sid got a swing set. Excellent choice. And you have no idea how exciting it was to see Rice and it’s students again. I love Houston. I can see sooo many people that I maybe kinda like when I go there. When visiting Kenny with Paul and Jeffrey we sent to see Night at the Museum 2 and Terminator Salvation for only $5 at a drive in movie theater. Now that was definitely a great experience. It was especially cute that they played music reminiscent of Grease and there was a very “all-american” scene of kids playing tether ball and on the swings. I really felt like I lived in the country or something. And we went bouldering too. Makes me miss some people who are still on their Asian adventure…
I’m also quite pleased to have gone to Austin.
So I wonder how interesting it can be to read this. And since I like reading short articles, I’ll try to keep mine short. Like me! Ha I’m hilarious.
