One Step.
September 1, 2009
I feel like I’m one step behind.
After starting school again after being abroad, I just feel like so many things have changed and that I can’t keep up. It’s almost like I don’t fit in anymore. But what’s ironic is that coming back just felt so nice. I’d been looking forward to it for a while. And even though I’m off-campus, and pretty much my entire school experience is now different, every once in a while, everything feels the same.
On another note, sometime my apartment is just so hot. But we don’t want to be wasteful with our energy.
I’m regressing back to earlier times. In high school I always did homework on the floor of my room, and I find myself now doing homework on the floor of our living room. Oh, it’s like I’m home.
*hugs*
You do fit in, don’t be ridiculous.
Also, our apartment is also stifling, but this could also be due to fever. It’s hard to tell.
I can’t wait for next year.
Of course you’re not going to fit in right away! But if you take pleasure in carving out your place in the new environment, it’ll feel like home in no time =)
I don’t think I’ve done hw on the floor since TAMS’s night-before-cal-homework-is-due parties. Then again my floor is carpet now, and the living room is filled with the noise of TAMS-guys.
i’m totally jealous that you’re off-campus – we only get one housing option at Pomona really, so everyone lives on campus. Going to the apartments at Rice and Berkeley have made me sooooooo jealous x.x – that or maybe i just want change…
school stuff will work out – it just takes time and a housewarming party =]
@dustin – lawl TAMS calculus-parties… sigh…
btw, my room in Claremont doesn’t have A/C so I’ve been looking around for DIY solutions: you should TOTALLY DO THIS: http://www.gmilburn.ca/2005/06/15/petes-homemade-air-conditioner/
=P or get Shao-Bo to do it for you =P
Cheers,

hmm, while i’m sure it is a perception thing as i’m sure you aren’t really a step behind everyone else, perceptions are rather troubling to the psyche. however, remember are you are an adaptable creature, very much so, and you’ll be fine. plus we can talk next week and you can inundate me with your troubles.
dude… waste all the energy you want. according to our petroleum engineering neighbors, we have all the energy we’ll ever need =D
